Beginning your review of Penguins of the Earth
A well researched, well written book with some factual and still fun comedic relief in between. Lots of wonderful pictures and information. Nigh the data is on family life, breeding, and raising penguin hatchlings. The information is well thought out and explained in an understandable way. Yet, I would have liked to see some more data on threats penguins face and what efforts are beingness taken to conserve the different species. The volume did address this at the end in Appendix 2 A well researched, well written volume with some factual and still fun comedic relief in between. Lots of wonderful pictures and information. Nigh the information is on family unit life, convenance, and raising penguin hatchlings. The information is well idea out and explained in an understandable way. However, I would have liked to run across some more information on threats penguins confront and what efforts are being taken to conserve the unlike species. The book did address this at the finish in Appendix 2 over a total of 4 pages like closing remarks, I just would take liked to come across more. The author says at the beginning of the book that at that place are 17 species of penguins and in Appendix one he introduces united states to those species and their threat level. Withal, it is not thoroughly explained why some species are thriving and others are declining or are considered endangered and what is existence done to save them. He did, however, in the four pages in Appendix ii, accost some of the threats humans have posed against different penguins in history. Just would have liked to see what threats they also face now and what is being done to save them. Otherwise, to learn virtually how penguins rear their young and grow upward, this is a very informational and practiced book. ...more

Stunning photos and lyrical prose, with anecdotes from explorers and scientists past and present, as well as the author himself. Information technology'south basically a description of penguin lifestyle, with interesting contrasts between the 17 species. It is rather frank nearly the sex and violence inherent in the system, and so non specially a kiddie book. Only it is very interesting, and, like I said, has great pictures. Penguins of the World is a nonfiction, science volume that teaches yous all about penguins. I would say it is catered towards a heart/ high school aged young adult. The volume shows you lot about the habits of penguins, their mating and their behaviors. I would rate it high because of the beautiful photographs throughout the book. The pictures are enough to make a young adult enjoy this book.
